The Princess of Finance Parure is part of the feminine section of the Penumbra Holding Group Collection. The sterling has been etched with stock page text and set with bloodstone.

Bloodsone is known for change, business, wealth, healing. During medieval times, warriors would carry a bloodstone amulet and press it to their wounds on the battlefield. I'm sure it was the pressure and not the stone type that worked! The Church used it often due to the belief that the red specks on the green background were caused by Christ's blood hitting the earth while he was on the cross. It became known as the martyr stone because so many sculptures for the church were carved from the hard material. In parts of the world, it is also literally ground up and used as an aphrodisiac- making supplies of good quality stones difficult to obtain. With connotations to business, wealth, sex, and change how could I not pair it up with money?
