How was it made?
The serving platform of the dish is press-molded; the pedestal is wheel-thrown and altered. Pieces are
assembled when soft-leather hard. Decoration is created with colored slips - it's kinda similar to the act of decorating a cake! The serving dish is glaze fired in an electric kiln to cone 6 with mother-of-pearl luster on slip details, fired to cone 018.
