There once was a "bunkie" - a small cabin for children to sleep outdoors in Canada- on a property I really wanted to buy but alas! 'twas not to be. This heavily free motion stitched piece, with digital image transfers from my original photos and vintage crewel work by unknown artisans, was my reaction to not being able to have it...it is being snatched away by a swooping eagle...I am adrift inside.... 36" X 58" X 2"

Thanks! I love that piece also...it is one of my NFS pieces....every time I was almost making a sale for it, I found myself sabotaging the sale.....finally realized I HAD to keep it!

I love this piece.. the details are great.. and the narrative quality is what attracts me to it most… but mostly I like the contrast between the large piece in relation to the two smaller ones.. particularly in regards to the distance between each piece.
