This piece is made with a narrow body measuring 10” in dia. and a slightly larger and deeper boss. The whole is made of two forged pieces of 14 ga. 1060 steel. The body has been heat blackened to reduce oxidation while the edge and boss have been left polished. The edge is a rolled for extra structural rigidity. The back features a belt loop to allow the user to wear the buckler with their scabbarded sword. The piece weighs 1.93 lbs. and features a durable hardwood oak handle designed to reduce shock transference from hits.
