Strapless Vase with an Iris from the side of the house

What is it?
It's a vase that looks like a dress. Do you see it?
What is it made of?
ceramic with glaze and luster; the iris supplied by my garden
When was it made?
2008
How big is it?
10“H x 5“W x 8“D
How was it made?
Vase is wheel-thrown and altered with an attached slab bottom. Arabesque scrolls, dot patterns and lace edging are created with colored slips. Piece is glaze fired in an electric kiln to cone 6 with mother-of-pearl luster on dots and button accents, fired to cone 018.
