PARTICIPATORY SPORT FOR CRAFT ARTISTS
This is a completed mosaic brooch done with Cynthia Toops for a show in Seattle at the Facere Jewelry Art Gallery.
This piece measures a mere 2.5" long by 1.75" wide. The bezel is sterling silver with brass findings on the back and a steel pin. The inside is all Fimo rolled into tiny threads, then baked and chopped into tiny pieces. These are then pressed into a soft Fimo base one by one. You can imagine how long this takes. For the size of this bezel there is an amazing amount of things going on.
