The horrific disaster in Japan really touched my heart.  This is how I responded, designing a piece to never let me forget about the Japanese people, the strength and humility they show in times of such adversity.

Hi Janet,

Thanks!  The stone is Labradorite.  It has a bright flash of color when the light hits it.  I can only assume the Japanese  characters are real.  I used a texture sheet with the words already there so I can't tell you what they say even though I wish I could.

I really love this piece. What is the stone?  Are the Japanese writings real, if so what do they say?
