Aloha Renee. Thank you for the compliment. Naked Fauxku is a technique I came up with when I was doing "Naked Raku" on all my sculptures but getting hassled by my gallery representation because it was too hard to ship without breakage. WOrk not vitrified and all. It is done much like naked raku but is a high fire process. The technique will be totally described with pictures in Pottery Making Illustrated (don't know exactly when the article will be published, but keep your eyes open for it), and also in a book coming out in 2011 published by the American Ceramic Society and edited by Eduardo Lazo on Alternative FIring techniques. I have done one chapter of this book on Naked Fauxku.

Amber, should be filling out job applications, but I am looking at your work. What is Fauxku and do you paint the black on or is it a result of your process - I just love it, love it, love it.
