Thanks Michael! It's one of my faves too, one of the very first and I think one of the best of its kind. I like the ambiguity of the tin also, it looks new once sandblasted, but it's a very old, and I was told rare, tin.
It was great to spend time talking to you at the conference, I hope we get another chance in the future.

This piece is by far my favorite. The fact that it is hand cut is icing on the cake. That deep slate color just resonates so strongly in my brain.

Wow these are beautiful! I work in recycled steel too, often enamelling on to it.

This one was hand saw pierced. The drill holes are there if you look close, in a diagonal row on the bottom LHS of the pin, in front. I hand cut all the pieces I make when using recycled materials, but the 1mm titanium and stainless steel in the other works are laser cut. I do hand pierce 1mm mild steel though. For the next 13 months we'll discuss the trials, triumphs, and tribulations of exhibiting in art shows as emerging artists and established artists. Exhibition coverage will be balanced with tips on how to strategically build a legacy over a length of time, in a way that makes sense to your individual goals as an artist and maker.
