We've always played in the arena of using art to forward ideas. The idea for this pair of earrings formed by the odd assortment of elements on the bench as we were practicing using our antique Indian forming dies. We were originally going to build some very traditional ornamental earrings. But we started substituting some recycled computer parts instead. We liked the juxtaposition of the traditional forms with completely anomalous yet visual compatible electronic components. Why, we have the irony of modern Pakistan right here in a pair of earrings, thought we. Symbol of national pride or protest depends on which side of the fence you sit on.
