Materials Hard & Soft - Juror's Award

I am pleased to announce that my piece, Attic Turbine Vent (shoulder brooch) was selected as one of ten pieces in this year's exhibition for a Juror's Award. Materials Hard & Soft is a competitive, national exhibition now in its twenty-sixth year. This year's juror was Jean W. McLaughlin, Executive Director of the Penland School of Craft. 568 pieces were submitted and 71 chosen for inclusion with 10 juror's awards given. Fuller Craft Museum Exhibition

One of my enameled panels, Alchemical Utensils, was selected by Curator Dina Deitsch of deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum for inclusion in the upcoming Fuller Craft Museum Members Exhibition. The show will be up from September 22, 2012 – February 10, 2013 with an opening reception on Sunday September 30th from 2 – 5pm.

Third time's the charm...

I keep trying to write this blog and get it posted but I seem to run into self inflicted road blocks. I was hoping to have something running by Wednesday. For the next 13 months we'll discuss the trials, triumphs, and tribulations of exhibiting  in art shows as emerging artists and established artists. Exhibition coverage will be balanced with tips on how to strategically build a legacy over a length of time, in a way that makes sense to your individual goals as an artist and maker.
