Hi Friends (Romans and Countrymen too....),

I'm off Tuesday morn to the Great White North-- Alaska. One day demo in Anchorage and then 4 days of my Captures workshop in Fairbanks. Should be fun.

I can't believe I was in sunny and warm Arizona just over a week ago...

Off to pack.

I went to San Francisco last week, popped into Velvet da Vinci and saw your work, including that piece with the wood that I was admiring. Gorgeous! Like a designer anthill. :-)

I also saw some of Maria's work. You know, it's so different seeing pieces in a gallery context when you've seen them elsewhere, in a more casual environment. Like one of Maria's gut brooches, which she photographed me wearing. It was almost intimidating seeing it displayed, talked about in a very reverential way by a (very nice) lady.

Anyway, enough of my silly ramblings! Hope you're well! Say hello to Kim for me.
