PARTICIPATORY SPORT FOR CRAFT ARTISTS
I'm currently living on a cattle station, 430km north east of Alice Springs. The clashes of nature - civilization astonish me every day. Savannah country surrounds the homestead, a green oasis in the middle of red dirt (I have seen it lush and green as well two years ago). On average we are about nine people here. I'm a home tutor, supporting an eight year old student of the school of the air. In my spare time I make jewellery and paint.

For the next 13 months we'll discuss the trials, triumphs, and tribulations of exhibiting in art shows as emerging artists and established artists. Exhibition coverage will be balanced with tips on how to strategically build a legacy over a length of time, in a way that makes sense to your individual goals as an artist and maker.
Join us each month! There will be surprises around every corner, with photos, videos, SNAG conference coverage, and occasional interviews by rising artists!

Hello Anja,
Welcome to crafthaus, the network for fine craft artists and those who support them! I am very glad you joined us! Your crafthaus membership is valid through June 15, 2013.
Please look around and add your thoughts to the groups, blogs and discussions. Crafthaus is a participatory sport!
Please note that ALL images sent to the website editor are vetted to assure a measure of overall quality control. Unlike other image sharing websites, crafthaus is not a "free-for-all". Our members present their work in front of an educated and critical audience (their peers,) so the photos have to be GREAT. Our goal is to show our members' work in the best possible light. From the many images received daily, we aim to post as many as possible. Crafthaus heartily encourages comments from the membership, however, with regard to photos posted or not, we have a strict "NO WHINING" policy in effect!
If there are ever any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to email me via crafthauseditor@live.com anytime, I will do my best to be of help.
I hope you will enjoy being with this network, and will find the exchanges interesting and fun.
Again: Welcome !
Brigitte Martin
