Hello Anna! Your work is beautiful and I was hoping that you would enter the online exhibition Ephemeral Pleasures. Your work could be featured for an entire month on Crafthaus for all to see!
Thanks and I hope to see your work soon.
I saw your name and remembered you from U MASS. Your work is beautiful and I'm happy to see it featured on the front page. Congrats and keep at it...are you doing residencies? Teaching? Just curious!
Thank you for your nice comments. I find many people I speak to who work on jewelry scale have a childhood memory of becoming obsessed with some small thing that pulled them in and induced wonderment. I am hedging toward larger scale work to 1) get out of my comfort zone, 2) to balance the focus from body oriented.
I can definitely see your pieces in wearable scale.
Are your wall pieces (white & red) hollow too? There is something powerful about the profusion of the elements amassed together in your work.
Not to mention the shear hard work of felting! Great job.
Welcome to crafthaus ! I am very glad you joined us.
Please add your comments to the blog/discussion topics that are already posted. Of course, if there is something else you'd much rather talk about, please add that to the site so that the rest of us can chime in.
I really hope you will enjoy being with this network and find the exchanges interesting and fun. The more you put into it, the more you will get out of it, for sure.
If there are ever any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to email me anytime. I will do my best to be of help.
Again: Welcome !
Director, Luke & Eloy Gallery
“While striving to incorporate fashion and function in my body of work, Joe’s was created. Reflecting on the glamor once held by tobacco use, I pulled imagery from vintage cigarette advertisements. Once used to seduce the consumer, I take this now taboo subject matter and place it over the belt as a means of advertising and seduction of both the product and body. This reminds my audience of the cultural change that has evolved into the disapproval of tobacco usage and advertising.”

One would expect Jewelry artists to be limited to objects of personal adornment, but many contemporary makers in this field have gone beyond the constraints of functionality to pursue conceptual interests in areas such as photography, kinetics and sculpture. This exhibition seeks makers whose work demands…See More
This mural is drawn with one single line, an approach to craft that I have developed over the past three years. The line has been tested on ceramic tiles, drawings, canvas frames, pots and murals. When I finished drawing the mural, I traced my left hand at the very end of the continuous line (I am right handed), in order to start introducing myself, as the only inhabitant of this room, into the mural itself. Another two-week hiatus between posts and it is only because I've been too busy to be able to find a moment to write things down. So much has happened, from being asked if I were "eligible" for inclusion in a list of "eligible bachelors" - my non-bachelor status making me ineligible for the inclusion - to being asked to write an article for a new jewellery magazine about something which isn't jewellery!
The main thing on the workbench has been another of my projects which was…
