Hi Barbara,

No, I have never been invited to teach at Haystack. Instead, I've had the sole pleasure of working on my work.. and eating bacon! Teaching there is a 24/7 job.

They only have the BEST teachers, so you can consider yourself so!

Gorgeous collaborative necklace, by the way. Bet it brought in the big bucks.

I first attended Haystack in 1992, and feel fortunate to have been invited back every year since. While there, I created some of my most important works, in books, mixed media and clay. The experiences changed my life, and the people I met during those summers are precious.

Last year was probably my last, as I moved to Southern Californa to be closer to my family. As I no longer fly, other than in my dreams and imagination, trips across country to Maine will be difficult and costly. But Haystack (and its memories of limitless bacon and whipped cream) will always remain my Paradise.

Showing Publicly and Building a Legacy Privately

For the next 13 months we'll discuss the trials, triumphs, and tribulations of exhibiting  in art shows as emerging artists and established artists. Exhibition coverage will be balanced with tips on how to strategically build a legacy over a length of time, in a way that makes sense to your individual goals as an artist and maker. 

Join us each month! There will be surprises around every corner, with photos, videos, SNAG conference coverage, and occasional interviews by rising artists!
