Hi Bettina,
Thanks for the information about your show. How long will it be up? I have friends in BC that are getting impatient for me to visit. It would be great to get to see your work in person.
Cheers,
Kathleen

Oh yes, about the frames....One day I was driving down a country road and saw a farm house with a free sign on a bunch of frames. The minute I saw the frames I knew i wanted to experiment with them...and I have been ever since..

Hi, Bettina!
I absolutely love going to UBC and find it one of the most inspirational places o be, second to the Field Museum in Chicago The field has the largest exhibit of Coast Salish woven cedar art in the USA. Yes, I apprenticed with "Gram"Lillian Pullen , On Washington's West Coast n the Quileute reservation, surrounded by the Olympic Rain Forest. Currently, I have need living in Coast Salish culture surrounded by the Salish sea for the past 14 years..

If the spirit of the piece calls for a natural background, I photograph it that way. I don't worry so much about photography in that way. I'm just happy to finally have a camera..I find natural light the best..and perhaps...because my primary medium(s) are organic, they photograph well in natural settings..
I enjoy looking a your work
