you're not going to learn anything from me.  i could learn tons from you though.  i sort of muddle my way through every piece i make. i have no formal training at all.  i've seen your work!  you should apply.  i think you don't realize how good you are and shouldn't sell yourself short.  just remember one thing, bifei.  the worst that can happen is they say no and you are no worse off than where you started.  nothing ventured, nothing gained.  these are wise words.  i'm going to tell jennifer to talk you into applying.  now watch out for the big gun.  you will be at SNAG this year?

Master Artist-in-Residence Opening

The Appalachian Artisan Center located in Hindman, KY, has an annual opening in its Master Artist-in-Residence Program for artists working in metals. The one-year residencies begin September 1.

Benefits include a substantial stipend, housing, state-of-the-art studio space, and teaching opportunities. They define "Master Artist" as someone who has significant experience and skill in their given field; college degrees preferred but not required.

Showing Publicly and Building a Legacy Privately

For the next 13 months we'll discuss the trials, triumphs, and tribulations of exhibiting  in art shows as emerging artists and established artists. Exhibition coverage will be balanced with tips on how to strategically build a legacy over a length of time, in a way that makes sense to your individual goals as an artist and maker. 

Join us each month! There will be surprises around every corner, with photos, videos, SNAG conference coverage, and occasional interviews by rising artists!
