SO I just finished making a norigae for Jessica Alba. She's going to Japan then Korea for celebrity stuff and will be wearing a traditional Korean dress and the norigae is a decorative element worn in front. I'm pretty excited about it. Picture soon to come!
emiko oye said… Hi Dha-Mee,
Definitely check out Velvet da Vinci - it is a must see for art jewelry. Doesn't look like there is a show up right now, but they have a great regular selection of artists. Also new are D&H Sustainable Jewelers on Market St in the Castro, and Love and Luxe on Valencia. If you're able to get to the East Bay in Oakland/Piedmont there is Lireille. Through June 12 is the amazing Pulp Fashion show at the Legion of Honor Fine Arts Museum, which is also a must see. Have a super visit!
emiko oye said… Hey girl,
great meeting you at SNAG--I plan on blogging about the student work and will include the picture I snapped of you by your wood shirt/pin. I was going to also include your business card since it is so sweet--i'll fuzz out your phone number if you don't want that on my blog.
Hope to see you in SF this summer, here is the link to the symposium this fall: http://www.metalartsguildsf.org/events/mag_workshops.htm

Brigitte Martin said… Welcome to crafthaus, the network for fine craft artists and those who support them! I am very glad you joined us! Your crafthaus membership is valid through April 15, 2012.
Please look around and add your thoughts to the groups, blogs and discussions. Crafthaus is a participatory sport!
Please note that ALL images sent to the website editor are vetted to assure a measure of overall quality control. Unlike other image sharing websites, crafthaus is not a "free-for-all". Our members present their work in front of an educated and critical audience (their peers,) so the photos have to be GREAT. Our goal is to show our members' work in the best possible light. From the many images received daily, we aim to post as many as possible. Crafthaus heartily encourages comments from the membership, however, with regard to photos posted or not, we have a strict "NO WHINING" policy in effect! :-)
If there are ever any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to email me via crafthauseditor@live.com anytime, I will do my best to be of help.
I hope you will enjoy being with this network, and will find the exchanges interesting and fun.
Again: Welcome !
Brigitte Martin

For the next 13 months we'll discuss the trials, triumphs, and tribulations of exhibiting in art shows as emerging artists and established artists. Exhibition coverage will be balanced with tips on how to strategically build a legacy over a length of time, in a way that makes sense to your individual goals as an artist and maker.
Join us each month! There will be surprises around every corner, with photos, videos, SNAG conference coverage, and occasional interviews by rising artists!
