Diane Falkenhagen received her B.F.A. from the University of North Texas and her M.F.A. from the University of Houston. She is best known for her fabricated, one-of-a-kind jewelry that incorporates mixed media and pictorial imagery. Her work has been exhibited widely and has been published in American Craft, Metalsmith, Ornament, Southwest Art, and the New York Times, as well as in the books: Color on Metal, 500 Brooches, 500 Necklaces and 500 Plastic Jewelry Designs. Diane’s home and studio are located on Galveston Island in Texas. She is adjunct faculty at a local-area community college and teaches workshops nation-wide.
