Elliot Gaskin is a jewelry and installation artist based in Seattle, Washington. He is the grandson of painter William Gaskin, who during the depression was co-director of the northern California Art Project for the WPA and later was on the San Francisco Art Commission. The young designer is paving his own path with intricate mechanical objects and jewelry. Inspired from early machinery, Elliot creates work that challenges the viewer’s perception of modern day mechanical objects. His jewelry plays with the juxtaposition between organic and mechanical objects. Elliot designs and fabricates conceptually driven objects, informed by a passion for material and craft.
