Jennifer Dewey replied to John Lunn's discussion A busy week's diversion in the group Tapestry of Talents: Bringing Your Whole Voice to Your Craft
John Lunn said… I'm back from Toronto now, Jenn and haven't heard from Rio about a badge. I'll only be able to in on Saturday anyway so it would be nice to just have a browse around the show for a couple of hours.
I'll let you know what I find out. If it does or doesn't pan out - either way - let's find time to hang out and get to know each other.

John Lunn said… Thanks very much for your help Jenn, I'll let you know what I figure out this week.
John Lunn said… Tiny tools sound perfect.
I see on the JCK site that you have to be a jewelry buyer or exhibitor to participate. Are you one of these, or is there a third way?
I just assumed Rio Grande would give me access, but now I'm not so sure.
John Lunn said… Oooh..who was the classmate that made the tools? I make some of my own but I almost prefer to have them done. Liza Nechamkin is another master chaser in New York area who made me some tools. She worked for Tiffany for years and does some amazing stuff. You might think of studying with her if you've a mind to travel that far.
John Lunn said… I'd love to do one of Valenin's workshops abroad. Sounds like a blast. Alas, no money, no time, no way.
I've not heard of Fabrizio Acquafresca but just looked him up. Interesting work. I'm working in miniature and not sure where to guidance. I'm combining the high relief of the European style with mini jewelry work. I had Valentin make me a set of mini tools several years ago that are invaluable.
John Lunn said… Nice work, Jenn. I see in your website bio you studied with Valentin. Did you go to Brooklyn or do one of his European tours?
Brigitte Martin said… Thank you very much for your membership renewal and support of crafthaus. Your membership is valid through February 15, 2014.

For the next 13 months we'll discuss the trials, triumphs, and tribulations of exhibiting in art shows as emerging artists and established artists. Exhibition coverage will be balanced with tips on how to strategically build a legacy over a length of time, in a way that makes sense to your individual goals as an artist and maker.
Join us each month! There will be surprises around every corner, with photos, videos, SNAG conference coverage, and occasional interviews by rising artists!
