"I just found your message on CraftHaus. (I'm not active here.) You have a double wall from a long time ago??? I'd love to see what it looks like. Have you given it a thorough wash lately (lots of warm water, and a bit of soap)?"

Hi Kari, I've never washed it or put it in water.   I'll have to try that!   It has more than twenty years worth of dust on it, I'm sure.   But I foolishly had it on a shelf where the sun had a direct hit, so the colors are definitely more pastel than the original shade.  No matter...it's still a beautiful piece and thankfully, the cats haven't wanted to chew on it!  Good to hear from you!   Are you still doing ACC shows and the like?   My last art fair was in 1998.  I'm just getting too old for all that schlepping!

Dear Kari:

Welcome to crafthaus, the network for artists, craftsmen/women ! I am very glad you joined us !

Please add thoughts to the blogs and discussion forums that are already posted. Of course, if there is something else you'd much rather talk about, please add that to the site so that the rest of us can chime in.

I really hope you will enjoy being with this network and find the exchanges interesting and fun. The more you put into it, the more you will get out of it, for sure.

Please note that crafthaus is a fully member-financed website, meaning that a small annual fee is involved in being a member . You will find all the necessary information on how to go about this in the FAQs section of the site. Your membership fee is due June 15 and is payable through paypal (preferred, a direct link is provided on crafthaus) check or credit card (email me for details.)

Finally, if there are ever any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to email me anytime. I will do my best to be of help.

Again: Welcome and enjoy !

290° - The first of the Scottish degree shows

It is that time of year again, when the degree shows in Scotland all kick off. As usual, the roll is started by Dundee's Duncan of Jordanstone College of  Art & Design - DJCAD for short. Third time's the charm...

I keep trying to write this blog and get it posted but I seem to run into self inflicted road blocks. I was hoping to have something running by Wednesday. First, I have 2 computers and Ive done bits and pieces on them both. Second, I cant seem to find a wifi hook up when I need it or when I have the draft I want to post. On top of that, there's been very little time away from the conference or visiting family for me to go onkine. Finally, when I was going to post this afternoon, the battery…See More
