Mary-Lynne...I've been developing this jewelry for over 10 years. The reason it looks "impossibly refined" is because the tubular part of my jewelry is paper that I print with my own art and then laminate to tubing or other materials that I use for an armature. I use polymer clay only for simple beads and embellishments and consider myself still very much an amateur in that material. I adore polymer clay and would like it to play a bigger part in my designs, but it's a slow process for me. I hope this helps your perspective. Just work with it as much as you can, experiment a lot, and in time you'll gain more confidence with the material and your voice will shine through....Sharon
