goldsmith ~ studio jewelry artist ~ educator ~ writer ~ consultant

I am a goldsmith working in precious materials using basic tools and traditional fabrication techniques. My design aesthetic is minimalist. My studio approach is minimalist as well. I prefer to work as directly as possible in the transformation of raw material into finished object. My philosophical perspective is that skill with tool and fluency with material are the fundamental catalyst for creative expression.

In addition to maintaining a studio practice I am a faculty member of the Revere Academy of Jewelry Arts in San Francisco. I devote the majority of my time and energy to my extensive visiting artist program through which I teach internationally, offering intensive workshops, classes on professional development, private instruction, and personal consultation.

Thanks so much for adding me Michael...I'm very new to Crafthaus, so it's nice to feel so welcome.  Your work is breathtaking.  Timeless and modern design...clean lines....impeccable choice of materials, and well executed. So great.

My thanks to all who have posted on my wall recently for the lovely comments.

I am delighted to see so many creative people joining this online community. It is especially important (and so easy now) to be connected with others; makers, writers, curators, educators, and to be a part of the forward movement of creativity, rather than being isolated.

Thanks to Brigitte for this great Crafthaus connection portal!

Hi David! Your work is just so ...divine. I could focus on just any one aspect, but my words wouldn't be adequate. These are museum pieces. You definitely inspire me to work harder, learn more, and stay curious. ;-)
