- I am now teaching Jewellery Design in Malaysia at Raffles Design Institute. It is the inaugural program in Malaysia -- the first of its kind within a country with no tradition of conceptual/theorectical jewellery. So a Jewellery Frontier, as it were. I am excited to see where my students go and how my work evolves.
I continue my research and tests on the the ideas of using the traditional connotations of jewelry but skewed in certain ways in order to further its function as a personal item of adornment. It has been progressively more about human interaction and emotional states -- the catching of a thought, feeling or moment.
My aesthetic is based on the human environment and how that mirrors the individual and the human condition overall.
