Hi Christine,
A belated congratulations on your solo show! I hope you can post some pics soon. After a long summer away and a busy fall with unexpected setbacks, I'm finally getting my act together to ask you some guild questions.

Hi Christine,

I just got back myself from teaching at an art camp all summer. I'm hitting the ground running because the New Jersey Metal Arts Guild is getting ready for our first juried member show in November. Maybe I can email you offsite with specific questions. I'm always looking for pearls of wisdom.

Hi Christine! Your work is fantastic! You put so much time and detail into each piece, that's really incredible.

You can email me at anne.m.fiala@gmail.com.

thanks christine,
my website isn't really up and running yet, i've just got the most basic info there now and no images really. i plan to really get it up after next week. i'm doing a 1 day craft show (art on the mall at univ of toledo) tomorrow so right now i'm focused on getting through that. july has been insane with ann arbor and the the UT show 1 week later. i've got to do some stuff on my etsy site too but that will also have to wait. what you been up to? check out my webiste later, should be alot better. i checked out yours BTW, quite awhile ago actually, and i did want to compliment you on it. oh--and big congrats on getting into the online brooch show, i thought that was really well done.

Hi Christine,

I'd definitely like to keep in touch about guild experience. I'm teaching at a camp in the catskills for the entire summer, but happily, our first juried member show is in the works. So it our organization getting it's legs. I'll be in touch, thanks for getting in touch.

Interviewing NCECA 2013 Emerging Artist Linda Swanson

NCECA 2013 Emerging Artist Linda Swanson makes us think about ceramic materials in a new and dynamic way.  Her installation, site specific, fired and unfired work all has an emphasis on time, material and transformation.  Linda generously shared her time and thoughts with me about her current studio practice and the path that has led her there.  I hope you enjoy this interview with Linda Swanson.  You can see more of her work at: …See More
