Hi Katja!

Nice to read about your experience at the grey area symposium and that you have meet a lot of interesting jewellery artist. I’m grateful over your writings, I know some of the once who was/is a participant in the greay area project and also some other who travel there to be a part… I hope to hear from them all when there is at home safely and with a lot of good an interesting inspiration…

This new work you're doing is quite unusual. What is the symbolism of the keys? They unlock things, yet they're suspended inside of these wire chambers. Are you speaking of keys that are not able to unlock things? -- The difficulty of getting to the core because of things/people because there really isn't a key to it (because everyone is different)?
I'm really sparked by this work. I'm glad to see you on here :)

A native of China, Bifei graduated from the Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology, and received his MA degree at the Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University, before receiving an MFA in jewelry and metals program at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania under Lynda LaRoche.
