Behind the Brooch

This exhibition focuses on a side of the brooch we usually do not pay much attention to: the back side. Our first look is naturally always trained at the front, but when we do take the time to look at the back of a brooch, it will oftentimes reveal a surprising aspect for us, a delightful little secret. With this exhibition, I would like to let you in on that secret, something that typically only the maker and the wearer know about. I hope you will enjoy with me this selection of brooches by…See More

favourite literature.

The movie "Metropolis" of Fritz Lang…

My museum première

Yes!

One of my creations found his way to a museum for the first time, for you this probably means very little, but for myself it's a major event.

The Hologram3/3 ring of my Holograms collection is on show in "The Design Circus, Los productos mas Fascinantes del Mundo" at the Circulo de bellas artes in Madrid. The catalogue arrived at my home today and it looks great.

If you happen to be in, or travelling to Madrid in the next weeks, this is one place you can go.…

Further to my other comment - I am also a fan of your palette. I find such strength in the mastery of a small amount of materials, when you can show -as you do- the full array of uses that they can be put to. And well done on the museum inclusion! It's bound to be the first of many.

290° - The first of the Scottish degree shows

It is that time of year again, when the degree shows in Scotland all kick off. As usual, the roll is started by Dundee's Duncan of Jordanstone College of  Art & Design - DJCAD for short. Regular readers of my blog will know that Dundee is my favourite Scottish city and has been for many, many years, so it is something of a surprise to realise that until last…See More
