<p>Dear Friends, <br> <br> I am delighted to invite you to spend an exciting afternoon learning more about contemporary craft. The MFA is proud to host the Daphne Farago Symposium on Contemporary Decorative Art on Sunday, October 14, from 1 to 4:30 pm.</p>

<p>The symposium—titled <b>Craft in Context: Contemporary Voices</b> <<a href="http://www.mfa.org/programs/lecture/craft-context-contemporary-voices">http://www.mfa.org/programs/lecture/craft-context-contemporary-voices</a>>—celebrates the MFA’s new Daphne and Peter Farago Gallery for Contemporary Craft.</p>

<p>Attendees have the opportunity to spend an afternoon chatting with artists featured in the current installation, and learn more about the work, practices, and contexts represented in, “Crafting Contemporary: Selections from the Daphne Farago Collection.”</p>
<p><br> Our speaker line-up includes renowned artists and critics in the field:</p>

<li>Janet Koplos, critic and co-author of <i>Makers: A History of American Studio Craft</i></li>
