I am loving it! SMM member Kelly Robinson is a featured artist this week on Crafthaus. Kelly is just great, be sure to go to her page to view other spectacular pieces of work. Great job for any artist, much less a student. I predict we will be seeing lots from Kelly in the future.

AB, went to the Big Ass show today. It is a fun event. Looked at you pieces and loved them, especially the fret work necklaces. I was hoping that you would be there but you were probably at Lady Bug. Hope to see you at an SMM meeting sometime this year. Oh, by-the-way, your business cards are lovely, ditto the postcard.

We had a wonderful workshop on Cold Connections with Nanz Aalund the last weekend in June. I just want to say it was a great class and everyone was very pleased with the workshop. Nanz is a very good teacher and really explains techniques well. If other members of the Crafthaus social network have the chance to take a class taught by her, I don't think you would be disappointed.

I hear that the SMM Member Only Exhibition had some fabulous work submitted and that the exhibition promises to be a huge success. Thank you Aimee Domash for all of your work on this project. I hope to get some photos of the pieces and with permission from the individual artists, post some of them to this site and to the SMM website. Exhibition beg…

Took my brooch in for the SMM member show today. What a problem child that brooch was. The best thing I can say is that it was a "learning what not to do next time" experience.

I was fortunate enough to be invited to attend a workshop at Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville, taught by Marlene True. I just want to say how wonderful it was and what a gem Marlene is. The workshop was on Champleve enameling. I loved it and Marlene did such a great job teaching us. I left there confident that I can be good at Champleve Marlene will be back at SIUE teaching a workshop for the Society for Midwest Metalsmiths on working with tin. I am very excited about that. It is envir…
