Wendy McAllister - the transformative power of adornment

Wendy McAllister’s love of jewelry started with a live bejeweled Makech beetle on a small gold chain and safety pin. It was a gift from her parents during a trip to Mexico. The experience of wearing this object steered her creativity toward jewelry and deepened her love of it. Her pieces are comprised of vitreous enamel along with sterling or copper. This is beautiful execution, color, form, design and use of scale - all of the elements that go into a body of consistently strong work. Her pieces always completely blow us away! So enlarge the image with a click; look at the detail and take in the energy behind Wendy McAllister. It’s an excellent way to recharge your creative batteries.
