Arrowmont Revisited | Tennessee Crossroads

Joe Elmore makes a return visit to Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts in Gatlinburg and finds an artistic oasis overflowing with creativity.

Editor's Note:

Personally,  I much enjoyed my stay at Arrowmont during our SNAG Board meeting last year and hope to be back soon. It was great connecting with so many people from different media taking classes at the time. Charles Lewton-Brain and Barbara Minor were teaching during the Masters Weekend - both are phenomenal makers in the metals field and it was wonderful to see them there.

Arrowmont generously supports crafthaus with an annual scholarship, some of you may recall Heba Barazi spending time there a few weeks ago to take a class with Ana Lopez. Read up on her blog if you have a moment, you'll get a very good sense of the place from a student's perspective: http://crafthaus.ning.com/group/seven-days-at-arrowmont-oh-and-nigh...

Have spent time at a craft center recently and would like to share your impressions? Go right ahead in the crafthaus blogs.
