The entire collection of projects will be presented at the 50th NCECA Conference in Kansas City this March. In January Namita and Michael will curate an exhibition of images and artifacts from the projects for display in Kansas City. Ultimately the results will be housed in a nationally recognized ceramic research center.
Truly, no project is too small. If you are taking a homemade dish, a handmade server to a holiday potluck, snap a picture and upload it to the site. Are you hosting an Empty Bowls event? Upload it. Do you meet regularly with a group of friends who believe in having handmade objects embedded in their daily life? Chances are there is a photo op there suitable for the "Across the Table, Across the Land" archive.
Conversely, if you have a larger project in the works or completed this year, touching on Clay, Community, and Food, this is the perfect venue for your efforts to be celebrated too. The curators have already begun sharing stories on the "Across the Table, Across the Land" site.
It will take less than five minutes for you to share your story! Don't miss out on being part of a contemporary snapshot of how craft is embedded in our lives.
Submission deadline: January 4, 2016. Notification of inclusion in exhibition: January 15, 2016.
