It seems that all I have been doing for the last two months is cleaning and getting ready! The semester ended so I cleaned all the places that I had managed to leave all my things at the University. I moved out of an apartment and into a house over Christmas. This meant that the old dwelling had to be cleaned out and the new one as well. I admit that my egress from the old apartment in the subject of cleaning was a far better job than it really needed to be. After living in a place since 2006 and having it pass through my group of friends since the early 2000's I thought that the apartment deserved a bit more respect than an average exit. The new house needed some loving as well, day three into the expedition of cleaning the oven has left my hands sore and chapped, despite the gloves and two empty cans of overnight oven cleaner. Through all of this has been the new semester charging ahead, in shorter and shorter proximity to the present. This semester will be my second in Graduate School and my first paid experience in teaching. Hopefully I can rouse the bright eyed and bushy tailed creature I know to dwell inside myself, somewhere...deep. I have an eight am teaching assignment and am taking an eight am metalsmithing class on the opposite days. Coffee and sweet sweet java will become my addiction of choice...again.
