I am leading a project called Into the Forest with collaborators Emily Squires Levine and Julie Eakes. It is a mixed media international collaborative installation.

A call has been made to polymer artists and enthusiasts from around the world to create pieces, which will form the installation's life elements.  Our goal is that the flora and fauna that inhabit their part of the world will inspire contributors. From what we hope will be thousands of elements contributed by our vast global community, we look forward to creating the largest installation of its kind, generating a global coming together of the polymer clay community as a result. Up to date we have received work from over 20 US states and 8 countries.

Deadline for submitting the work is April 4th, 2017.

A preview of the installation will be on display at Synergy4, the International Polymer Clay Association’s conference to be held in suburban Philadelphia PA in August 2017. The full installation will be held in Pittsburgh PA in November 2017, with an opening weekend event starting on November 10, 2017. The closing of the exhibition is December 3, 2017.

The first version of Into The Forest was on display in Philadelphia September through December 2016, created by Laura Tabakman and Emily Squires Levine, with the help of Julie Eakes, Libby Mills and Nancy Travers.
