I'm on holiday just now and for the first time in years actually have a holiday to take with no classes to teach. It is quite a luxury and I'll be spending the next few weeks entertaining a metalsmith friend from the USA, Madelyn Smoak and there will definitely be blog posts about that. In the meantime, enjoy this wonderful video about one of my great heroes, Kevin Coates, as he makes the pieces for his "Bestiary" exhibition at the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford, soon to be on tour around the UK, including a visit to Edinburgh in 2015.
