New Audience Development for art/craft: Art for the Village - Villages for Art

Art for the Village – Villages for Art

The Deutsche Stiftung Kulturlandschaft (Cultural Landscape Foundation) is initiating an encounter between artists and villages through its project “Kunst fürs Dorf – Dörfer für die Kunst”. The artists will be living in a village and actively involving the village population in their project, while the TV channels ARTE and ZDF
produce a documentary on them.

What do you think of this project? Could something like this be staged in the US and Canada as well? Craft seems ideally suited to this.
