Michelle Pajak-Reynolds runs a successful couture and art jewelry business. Her work has been featured in numerous publications, exhibitions, red carpet events, and NY Fashion Week. Michelle writes about business issues related to the arts on her Crafthaus blog, eMERGE: A Business Blog for Creative People. She holds a BFA in Jewelry & Metals from Kent State University and an MBA in Entrepreneurship from Baldwin-Wallace College.

Brigitte Martin is a German goldsmith, and is widely known as the founder and Editor of the popular social networking site crafthaus. She regularly curates and juries exhibitions across the U.S, and has recently published her first book, “Humor in Craft.”She is a member of SNAG’s Professional Development Seminar Committee and served on the Committee that launched the Trunk Show Sale. She has just been voted on the SNAG Board of Directors.

Success in Contemporary Craft Shows
Wayne Werner is a third-generation metalsmith from Baltimore, who makes his living as a jewelry maker, primarily retailing his work. He has successfully participated in over 200 high-end craft shows nationally over the past twenty years. Wayne has received the World Gold Council’s Gold Distinction Award and MJSA’s Vision Award for mokume gane, among others. He has studied techniques in Egypt, Italy, and Indonesia. He teaches at the Maryland Institute College of Art as well as abroad.

Todd Pownell is the owner of TAP Studios in Cleveland, an active jewelry workshop offering instruction and workshops. He is a technically trained jeweler and gemologist, working in the field since 1987. Todd has lectured on such diverse subjects as contemporary goldsmithing, color theory in jewelry, and stone setting. His “TAP by Todd Pownell” designs have recently experienced rapid growth.

Ronald McNeish established his shop, The Collection, in 1962. In business for over 50 years with a worldwide clientele, he and his staff represent a new breed of designer artisan using the latest technology in design, development and prototyping to enhance their artisan skills. One of SNAG’s “Founding Fathers,” Ron graduated from The School for American Craft at Rochester Institute of Technology, Grove City College, the University of Maryland, and the Carnegie Institute of Technology.

Beverly Tadeu works from her studio in Bethesda, MD, hand forging and forming oxidized silver and 18k gold to create sculptural art jewelry pieces with tension and movement. She shows her work at major craft shows and galleries throughout the U.S., including Aaron Faber Gallery’s 2011 show, “In Line/In Metal,” which was featured at SOFA Chicago. She has been included in numerous publications including Niche Magazine’s “Silver, Black and Gold: 2010 Jewelry Forecast” and “500 Silver Jewelry Pieces” by Lark Books.

For years she successfully used these techniques in her jewelry production business.
