APPLICATION DEADLINE: March 15

Building on the legacy of Elsie and Louis Freund who started the first art school in Eureka Springs in the 1940s, The Eureka Springs School of Art was founded by committed, widely respected artists and patrons within the community that felt they both had an obligation and an opportunity to provide art education. ESSA brings together people of mixed backgrounds, ages, and nationalities to make with their hands and their minds in a supporting and encouraging environment. It is our belief that art is vital to the human spirit and we are committed to cultivating promoting and encouraging artistic expression by providing art education opportunities in the unique environment of the Ozark mountains. ESSA offers three, five and extended six week concentrations in leather, iron, clay, wood, textiles, painting & drawing and small metal and are currently in open enrollment.
