We are finally in Amsterdam! On Thursday 14 we are planning to visit Gallery Marzee in Nijmegen. Would you still like to meet up? Is it easier for you to come there than to Amsterdam? I don't have a mobile phone here but if email me your number I can call tonight and we can catch up and make plans. If you plans have changed and you don't have time to meet up I do understand.
Thanks Helga for being my first friend on crafthaus! Looking forward to learning my way around here - I'm excited by the quality of the work! Won't be long til SNAG!
SNAG conferences are wonderful, so much to do and see and so many people to meet. Your online life melts into your "real" life for sure.
I highly recommend you come to one of the meet and greets, for instance the smaller conference experience on the first afternoon. They are lots of fun, fast paced, informal and a great way to meet lots of people in a very short time.
We have started a conference group here, I will be sending 2 bloggers who will report on the ongoings and start getting in touch with all interested even BEFOREHAND. Maybe you'd like to join ?
Glögg is something that we Swedish once need for Christmas time and I know that people that travel to Sweden in winter time almost always comes across to glögg, I drink it once or twice a year but I prefer glüwine (?), it’s less sugar in it I think?!
Östersund is a stone throw from my Christmas visit and my childhood town, Sundsvall, I was born in Sundsvall and have been living on the island Alnö 10 km from Sundsvall until my 20 years anniversary, and then I moved to Gothenburg and have been here since 1986.
I have been to the Netherlands too at a workshop with Ruudt Peters 2003 I think it was; now chaos was the item that time. Ruudt is one of my favourite jewellery artists and it’s good to know him these days; I have also been showing some of my pieces at gallery Marzee.
It world be great to get in contact with you, to talk about Sweden this days and the Netherlands as well, what’s going on a so on…
What where you doing in Sweden, witch part do you visit and when???
Now I will take of from Gothenburg and my computer for awhile, but I hope we can connect at the New Year.

Okay, I'm better organized now. I'm going to submit a series of blogs over the next few days on the SNAG show. They'll all tie together in the end. The first point for me to make is that Brigitte Martin is a real sweetheart! It was a treat to meet her and catch hold of some of her enthusiasm. If you get a chance to meet her I highly recommend it.Alright, here we go...I was born in Toronto and spent 14 of my first 21 years bere before I moved to New England. It is that time of year again, when the degree shows in Scotland all kick off. As usual, the roll is started by Dundee's Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design - DJCAD for short. Regular readers of my blog will know that Dundee is my favourite Scottish city and has been for many, many years, so it is something of a surprise to realise that until last…See More
