i'm in touch with peg now 'cos i'm coming thru next tues/weds. looking at our thread, it sounds like after work is best for you, but we could arrive a little before your day ends so we could see you "in action." does peg know where you work? does next tuesday seem like a good day to you? would you mind sharing your email so i don't have some communicating thru email and some thru crafthaus? thanks so much! looking forward to meeting! anne
ok, so the message i sent yesterday, totally screwy. i am not heading to new orleans from you. i'm heading to greenvile, some 650 miles away. about the same but i cannot set-up till early fri morning. there was logic behind my original choice of wednesday departure. SO, the upshot is i will pass thru on the 9th, as i originally said. whew, what a dodo bird.
sorry time for email is becoming scarce with only a little over 2 weeks to go b4 i hit the road. no problem about the evening. i realized that i have to be in new orleans by thursday early because my set-up is 11 on thurs the 10th. so i think i'll be heading thru on the 8th, leaving me all day on the 9th to travel down there. it's 675 miles from stL to NO, and i can do that in a day. could visit you during the day too, if that's not a distraction. do you have a cell phone number i could plug into my cell. i don't always have an internet connection and i don't have any kind of smart phone. just a regular old one that i can call from or text. looking forward to meeting up in stL.
i'm discovering there are so many great metalsmiths in the StL area. there are more people in your area than my whole state! i will be passing thru StL right after the first weekend in may. i'll be coming from the brookside show in KC. so that would be may 7 and/or 9. i'm heading to hannibal to a friends but i wanted to stop and see peg and now you! i'll also be leaving hannibal on the 9th so i could pop in that day also, should one or both days suit you guys better. let me know your thoughts. i have to get to peg with the dates also.
Roger thank you for your time this weekend in the workshop. I have drawn up a piece with that reverse gypsy setting, so hopefully you haven't beat me to it already.
Roger,
Thanks so much for your interest in my work, I hope you are enjoying your brooch, which one did you get by the way? I am also very attracted to your work! the surface qualities are just wonderful.
Roger, thank you for that exceptionally flattering comment on my page. It means a lot to me that people "get" the technical and historical details of my work.

Okay, I'm better organized now. I'm going to submit a series of blogs over the next few days on the SNAG show. They'll all tie together in the end. The first point for me to make is that Brigitte Martin is a real sweetheart! It was a treat to meet her and catch hold of some of her enthusiasm. If you get a chance to meet her I highly recommend it.Alright, here we go...I was born in Toronto and spent 14 of my first 21 years bere before I moved to New England. It is that time of year again, when the degree shows in Scotland all kick off. As usual, the roll is started by Dundee's Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design - DJCAD for short. Regular readers of my blog will know that Dundee is my favourite Scottish city and has been for many, many years, so it is something of a surprise to realise that until last…See More

A show at Crafthaus has more of an audience then a gallery and offers a permanent stage to the world. We do love gallery shows, but at Crafthaus submission is easy, doesn't cost anything for members. In addition to our calls there are others you may be interested in.
We try to make the submission process as painless as possible! If you have any questions please let us know. Glen & Marie
Enjoy crafthaus !
