We jury some of the online exhibitions at Crafthaus and are inviting you to submit to our calls-
Earthly Pleasures http://crafthaus.ning.com/group/crafthausexhibition/forum/topics/open-call-earthly-pleasures
Me, Myself and I maybe the Flycatcher Jar? http://crafthaus.ning.com/group/crafthausexhibition/forum/topics/open-callme-myself-and-i
Sitting Pretty Part 2 is how the show will look http://crafthaus.ning.com/group/sittingprettytheartsittingpretty
A show at Crafthaus has more of an audience then a gallery and offers a permanent stage to the world. We do love gallery shows, but at Crafthaus submission is easy, doesn't cost anything for members. In addition to our calls there are others you may be interested in.
We try to make the submission process as painless as possible! If you have any questions please let us know. Glen & Marie

Hi, Jenni! Good to see you here! Strangely enough, when I got your email last night and clicked on crafthaus, I found that I had already joined last year and had done nothing with it - so I'd better get on the ball. I'll be checking back with you - keep working it!

A modern metalsmith/metal artist can be found working in traditional metals as well as in nontraditional materials. The designs can range from the classic to the extravagant, and the techniques can either be centuries old or decidedly current.

The wide range of expression preferences, design options, materials, and processes has lead within our field to unfavorable misconceptions, misunderstandings and in some cases even outright disdain between artists. Can the metal and jewelry field overcome its division and send out a much-needed signal?

We appreciate and respect our historical past and acknowledge that current materials have a rightful place in jewelry/object making!
