Hi Leisa. I'm a big fan of your work. Would love to get together with you as well. I am currently being held captive in Jerusalem (well sorta), but hope to get back to the states pretty soon. Will contact you when I do and look forward to meeting you. :)
Believe me, I do already! (mix fibers in with my work) Hoping to work this summer on a series of figurative hybrid doll-forms -- traditional textile materials mostly, with found and fabricated objects glommed on.
Thank you for the compliment on my work. I believe connecting with Artists of differing Disciplines/Materials allow us to see possibilities and options available in our own medium, we might never realize otherwise. So I'm very pleased to meet you.
I was delighted to get you note that was filled with compliments of my works.
I would like t thank you for the invite to your amazing exhibit of Fiber Arts creations. You are a very dynamic and expressive artist. I love your colors and admire the messages and the size of your pieces. I would love to visit your exhibits and hoping you will let me know where I could see your works.
Coming from the world of Woodworking (for 27 years)... precision is one of my strengths and it comes across in my paper creations.
Hi Leisa, thanks for the friend request! It was a pleasant surprise that Brigitte picked my work. Good luck with FAI this year, is it the birds installation that you entered?
I do believe that we have met! Thanks for contacting me and for complimenting my work. I really enjoy the use of texture and color in your work. Hope to see you again soon!
Sincerely,
Joy

Hi Leisa! Thanks for the compliments on my work. Your work is delicious. It would be amazing if the computer had a way for me to touch it, put it on, and play with it!
Thank you so much! I am such a fan of your work too. I absolutely love your installation work-the scale, form, and meticulous qualities are spectacular. And, wow, are you prolific! I would love to be involved in the exhibition and I am honored that you considered my work.

Looking forward to further communications with you.
Hi Leisa, Thanks for your compliment. Really like your interactive work. Seems like you have the same love affair with color as artists who enamel! Did you know Harlan Butt when you were at UNT?
I knew it was you when they said "our next caller is a Fiber Artist from Atlanta."
Thanks so much for calling in, that was really great. Thank you for the support. I heard from many crafthausers that they tried, glad one of us got through :-)
NCECA 2013 Emerging Artist Linda Swanson makes us think about ceramic materials in a new and dynamic way. Her installation, site specific, fired and unfired work all has an emphasis on time, material and transformation. Linda generously shared her time and thoughts with me about her current studio practice and the path that has led her there. I hope you enjoy this interview with Linda Swanson. I love your work too (and envy your productivity!!!)! Those embroidered birds are freaking amazing. In my next life, I'm going to be a fiber artist!
Thanks for the friend request, ;]

nice to meet you!
Thanks for getting touch, Leisa, nice to "meet" you. I would love to hear more about the Atlanta show.
Thanks for the kind words Leisa. I'm definitely interested in hearing more about the radical fiber exhibit you're curating...
Glad to meet you Leisa! Your work gets my brain rolling. Your interactive felt boards are inspiring me: http://whistlepigstudio.com/section/310559_West_Acres_Make_A_Monster_in_Action.htmlIt is a much more efficient solution for interaction and storytelling than the chalkboards I have been using. Thanks for connecting!
