Thanks Ann! I was wondering about the Minoan Shard piece; what are the materials? It's very nice!

Hi Ann,
Thanks for the message and request. I believe there are a number of schools in the DC area that offer digital media in one form or another. Have a look.

Cheers,
Anthony

You can make a very simple forge from a galvanized farm trough and some pipe, and fire it with charcoal. Not the store bought briquettes, but charcoal you make in a small campfire. Check out Tim and Marian Lively for some ideas: http://www.livelyknives.com/

Hi Ann. So you always wanted to make knives? Well, what's stopping you? Coming from a jewelry background, I can tell you, it's a blast. A lot of careful work, more than jewelry, but when you finish one, you feel elated.

Welcome to crafthaus, the network for artists, craftsmen/women ! I am very glad you joined us !

Please add your thoughts to the blogs and discussion forums that are already posted. Of course, if there is something else you'd much rather talk about, please add that to the site so that the rest of us can chime in.

I really hope you will enjoy being with this network and find the exchanges interesting and fun. The more you put into it, the more you will get out of it, for sure.

Please note that crafthaus is a fully member-financed website, meaning that a small annual fee is involved in being a member . You will find all the necessary information on how to go about this in the FAQs section of the site. Your membership fee is due on or before August 15, 2009 and is payable through paypal (preferred,) US check or credit card.

Finally, if there are ever any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to email me via crafthauseditor@live.com anytime. I will do my best to be of help.

Again: Welcome and enjoy !
