My work reflects upon connections between nature and the body, site and growth and how it can influence contemporary trends in wearable art. Artist Edward Steichen has raised questions and/or awareness about significant cultural issues considering decadence and extravagance as a conceptual project. With my collection, I want the wearer to fall into a state of self-indulgent, as the jewels become part of the body and the outfit. In “Decadence”, I question the possibilities of adornment, boldness and what the future of fashion holds in our cosmopolitan time.
