Altered Wooden Books WORKSHOP with Daniel Essig May 13-15, 2016

The Society for Contemporary Craft Pittsburgh, is happy to welcome visiting artist Daniel Essig, May 13-15, 2016.  
 
Explore the techniques of creating a handmade book while utilizing a binding that has withstood the test of time. Bind a book of fine papers, translucent mica sheets, and thin wooden pages. Then cut, hammer, glue, and sew back into the pages creating niches to protect treasures, images, and words.

Tuition for this three-day workshop is $250. There is a $50 materials fee to be paid on the first day of the workshop, for consumable materials provided by the instructor.
Cancellations & Refunds: Workshop cancellations are decided three business days before the start date. If workshop must be cancelled due to insufficient enrollment, the entire class fee will be refunded by check, to your credit card or SCC account for future workshops.
 
Refund Policy: Student refund requests must be made at least three business days before a class begins. There will be a $25 cancellation fee. No refunds will be given without three business days notice. Processing of refunds takes approximately three weeks.
