New metal jewelry artists are invited to apply for the newly increased 11th annual
Halstead Grant, which places equal emphasis on jewelry design excellence and business strategy acumen.
The 2016
Halstead Grant Winner will receive an increased prize of $7,500 in cash, $1000 in supplies and a feature article in a new, annual grant publication. The top prize also includes a trip to Prescott, Arizona; signature trophy; feature profile and jewelry showcase in catalog; extensive coverage on the Halstead website and social media channels; press release to industry and local media; and a feedback report from the judging committee.
New for 2016, Halstead Grant Finalists will receive $500 cash for Top 5 placement or $250 for Top 10 placement. Finalist awards also include: Coverage in the new annual grant publication; signature Grant Finalist trophy; blog profile; media exposure; press release assistance; and a feedback report from the judging committee.
Qualified applicants should be US jewelers who have recently launched independent metal jewelry lines with the intention of selling to a national audience. To apply, candidates must submit a portfolio and answers to specific business questions. The application is designed to encourage strategic planning and sound management practices amongst new jewelers.
