Terri Kern - crafting an engaging story

Terri Kern considers herself to be a “hands on” artist. This means she does everything from wedging the clay, doing all of the hand building, relief carving, applying the many layers of color under glazing and preparing/unstacking her kiln. Her work is representational, in that you do clearly recognize the flora, fauna and landscaped subject matter. Her work is also a bit magical and dreamy, taking your imagination to a nice place to perhaps build a story from the motif she created. You walk away with a bit of enchantment after you view Kern’s pieces.
