Thank you so much for your comments! I actually saw one of your pieces in the Schmuck cataloge and I really enjoyed it. And then I too saw your spine piece, wonderful! Also, your Everlong necklace is fantastic! I really enjoy how a whole set of jewelry is on one chain. I actually love Lauren Kalman's work. My first metalsmithing class at New Paltz had a photo of the Hard Ware piece, the gilded tongue, in the room and I fell in love.
Hello,
Thanks for friending me! I look forward to getting to know you! I wondered if that pic of me was always up- or just when I was on crafthaus! James is such a cutie- I just love him and so do my students! He is such a good friend and mentor to me. The doll head is a mannequin that I stumbled upon in Paris last summer. It just screamed Alison! Several people - including my hubby- thought it was me at first glance.
Thanks so much--a former student of mine, Cody, shot the videos for me. They turned out much better than we planned. Did you see the bloopers at the end? Alison is actually a good friend of mine but we did the doll avatars by complete coincidence. My girlfriend, Sandie, surprised me with the modified Ken doll--she did a great job with the likeness, and even fabricated the glasses!
Thanks for the comment! It has taken a while to get them to look right. The challenge now is to see if i can draw with just the materials in front of me. Hopefully I'll have some new pieces to post in a couple of weeks.
Thank you for your comment. I just work with sugar. I have developed my own techniques to create my pieces. I am currently doing the MA at the School of Jewellery in Birmingham, so I should have some new images on here soon.
The private view for the show is Saturday 11th September, if you are able to come.
Ya! I can't wait. I won't be there till Thursday, but I am in the Exhibition in Motion, so find me after? I believe you are the one who invited me to Crafthaus! So I have to thank you in person. :)
Hi Rickson,
I'd recommend you submit hair necklace and hair monster (plus the detail shot) along with dimensions, materials and a brief statement. Send directly to me at theaclark@verizon.net
Cheers! I really like your new wax pieces, perhaps they would be eligible for the Ephemeral Pleasures exhibit.

I really enjoyed browsing your gallery while thinking about your pieces as noun phrases in a new language.
