Sherry.... HAPPY RETIREMENT! Don't get Ann too sotted during your celebration.... Wish I could be there with you guys.

Susan.... don't worry about us girl... take care of family and self.. hugs. Oh, and BTW, if you get a chance in the next few months to send me images of my LEGENDS workshop at Ann's...  But, put it on the back burner.

Mazel tov....This looks to be HUGE! You have done an amazing amount of work in a very short amount of time. Can't wait to see the catalogue. Wish I were going to be at the conference, but, guess I'll just have to wait for the hardcopy, won't I.

Exhibition Update

Those who have been accepted into the show should make their payment for the production of the catalog to Sam Cangelosi.  Please make the payment through Pay Pal.  When you sign onto Pay Pal you will enter his email address, samcankc@aol.com to make the payment to him.  Just so we are clear and there is no misunderstanding, the $15 is to pay for the design cost of producing the catalog and does not go toward purchasing a catalog.  When the catalog is completed we will announce where the catalog can be purchased.  The way we have it set up is ALL proceeds from catalog sales go to the Craft Emergency Relief Fund.  So from the very first catalog purchased, CERF is benefiting!

We are thrilled to announce that the exhibition is much larger than we expected, over twice as big!   Because of this we’ve had to re-think a few things.  First, we are going to split the exhibition so that we have two shows.  We will let you know which show you are in as soon as we work that out.

The first show will debut April 14 through May 14.  The second show will debut July 17 through August 17.  July 17th is the final day of the Metal Clay World Conference so the timing couldn’t be better!  Those who are attending the conference will get a peek at the second part of the exhibit at the New Directions:  Powder Metallurgy (Metal Clay) in a Sheet Metal World print exhibition sponsored by Art Clay World that will be at the conference before the exhibit goes online!

Just to clarify how this works, each artist who has been accepted into the exhibit will have one picture in the online exhibition and that same picture in the  Art Clay World print exhibition.  If you had more than one piece accepted then all of your accepted pictures will appear in the catalog.

We are going to have quite a sizeable catalog and there is a lot of work to do there.   Reviewing the entries, we realize that we may have to contact a few artists regarding their submissions.  Christine and I have evaluated the amount of work to be done on all aspects of the exhibition and have decided that the catalog will debut at the Metal Clay World Conference.  This will allow us the proper time to put the catalog together and deal with issues we may have with some of the photography so we can produce the best catalog possible.

Congratulations again to everyone and thank you so much for being such a gracious group to work with.

No one has missed the payment deadline.  Sue will post an update shortly.  Ann is correct in that we have been absolutely swamped working on the catalog.  Payment instructions coming later today.

Linda,

Prague was FANTASTIC!!!   I've got a blog started here: http://pameast.wordpress.com/

The last two posts were from Prague.  I'll be putting up at least two more posts about my trip within the next few days.   Plus I'll be doing a write up about the conference for the Art Clay Society newsletter.   :-)

Jackie, oh goodness, we would never publish without you!!!!! hahahhaa

Susan has had a lot of family the last week, they just sort of descend in a hoard!! So she's backed up on the catalog, which all happened cause the post office took so long to get the disk to Jeannette!! I don't even think she's posted where to send it yet....I haven't heard from her today, which means she's out of the house:))  But I know she worked on it all weekend:))) Maybe she will get online tonight....I'm off is a little while to Sherry Chaples retirement party, you remember Sherry from Lorrene's class?

I heard that I've missed the deadline for the catalog fee? Is that right? I never got anything in my e-mail about it. Can I still pay my $15 to participate in the catalog?

Got home from Prague and the Pan-European Metal Clay Festival about 10:30 last night.   Just found out I made it into the exhibition this morning. Yay!  Thank you!!!   How/Where do I pay the $15 fee to be in the catalog?
